Hello, I would like to buy a trek rail 5 but not sure how good it will be? It has the motor I like but it's quite expensive? Are they worth the money or is it better to go with a lesser brand name bike?
Basically it depends, there are lots go good lesser known bike brands. Bosch is generally best for the motor so having a good motor and battery setup is key.

Hi I don't know a lot about trek but our local bike shop has sold them for a long time, test ridden the rail 7 and its very good but expensive. On YouTube a lot of semi/pros older pros seem to have trek bikes.
